Regarding the processing of personal data; the Law No. 6698 on Protection of Personal Data entered into force in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the privacy of life, and to determine the obligations of natural and legal persons processing personal data and the procedures and principles to be followed.
Auditing activities for data processors within the meaning of Law have increased, and in addition to the legislative infrastructure, decisions that will set a precedent for the implementation of the law have started to be made with the administrative penalties rendered by the Personal Data Protection Board in case of any violation.
